When will some people stand up for themselves?
Even just for just once!
For once they will acknowledge themselves as human and demand for some dignity
It is very heartbreaking seeing people endure abuse and they refuse to let the situation change
It is just sad!
I have been doing social work for 8years now and the things I have read and seen are just terrible
Sometimes I just want to quit and forget about the suffering in the world
But it impossible to quit now
There is too much to do now to change things
Parents, guardians and teachers should teach children about their rights and how to defend themselves in certain situations
Common sense is so rare and it is very ironic
It is supposed to be common
Every human being is supposed to have one
Unfortunately NO!
You have to tell a grown woman to leave her abusive marriage or else her husband might end up killing her
You would think she is supposed to know that
During my preadolescent and teenage years, my mum would sit me down and make me read stories in the newspaper about abused children and then she would explain them to me
She would always tell me to report to her when a anyone tried touching me inappropriately or told me to show them my underwear
I am fortunate to have a mum who is a social worker and human activist so I had the privilege of learning and being exposed to human rights issues from an early age
A mother watched her daughter be beaten by her fiancé and she did nothing to stop it other than tell the man to stop
She took no action to save her daughter
She could have called the police or shouted for help
There are some parents who beat up their little girls for being immoral because an adult sexually molested them
WHY?
How do you blame a 10 year old girl old for getting raped by 30 year old man?
I get so angry when I hear about stories like these
We can all support victims of abuse through so much
Money, advice, shelter, food, clothing or report to the police when we suspect an abuse is going on
My mum and I recently established SHARE (Shelter for Hope and Restoration)
An NGO to assist abused people
Please if you know anyone being abused or you if you are going through an abuse,

I believe maybe they endure the abuse or allow to watch the abuse because the issue is so much deeper than what the eye can see. Its so embedded deep in their heart or soul that to just stay or watch and not say much is almost like “normal” to them, sadly. Standing up and refusing to be abused or refusing to just stand back and say nothing takes strength. .which sadly a lot of these girls/women don’t have..which I believe they do, it is in them they just probably have not used it in so long that they just continue to endure this horrible pain. 🙁
Reminds me of the poor women I read about that have to endure so much abuse in the name of religion.(Islam mostly) They live like that so long they actually believe it is normal…so sad.
But so so awesome that instead of just talking about it you and your mother have actually started something. .. 🙂 So inspiring!
Unfortunately some of them have accepted it as reality.
Hopefully we can reach out to them and give them the strength to endure and leave.
Nice
Thanks!
