REVERSE ASSUMPTIONS

Some people can make you look desperate or evil most of the time. They never do the right thing and when you complain, you become the person who nags too much, the perfect one or you are just plain annoying.

I always look like the bad guy in most situations because I complain or scold someone for doing the wrong thing. It is more annoying if the person knows the right thing but refuses to do it. If we plan to meet at 10am for an important meeting and you show up at 12pm with no good excuse, I will complain and no I am not the bad person here. If you do want to go for the meeting, just say so. Do not make plans with me and make me wait for you for several minutes or hours because you forgot or did not think the meeting was that important for you to come early.

Have you ever been nice or courteous to someone and the person thought you were in love or being desperate for him/her? I get totally confused when people mistake a friendly gesture for a romantic gesture. Sometimes I want to help a friend get a job and this friend thinks I want to do it because I am in love with him. It just amazes me how someone can take an innocent gesture and misinterpret it completely.

My willingness to help people these days is very low because I am scared someone will misinterprets it as desperation or that I am forcing a friendship with him/her.

Sometimes a gift is just a gift with no romantic or sexual intentions. Enjoy it and stop making assumptions.
